Today I would like to return a little to one of my favorite subjects and that’s perfume. I don’t usually like to brag but last year I wrote a nice article about the history of perfume. And today I would like to continue it on the same note.
The most recent perfume I have from Paris is Nina Rouge by Nina Ricci. A floral fruity gourmand fragrance, launched in 2019. Personally, to me, it seems like a fresh, springy scent. Maybe because of the notes of raspberry and lemon. This perfume was part of my life at perhaps the happiest events and it is my soul perfume along with the one I am going to tell you about. This was a gift from a friend very dear to me.

Black Opium by Yves Saint Laurent. It seems to be a perfume for strong women, and I must admit that I do not wear it at any time, but only when I feel very confident and propose changes in my life, or career or I am going to take part in a very significant event. It is an evening perfume that was launched in 2014 and was created by Marie Salamagne, Nathalie Lorson, Honorine Blanc, and Olivier Cresp. In an interview with the four perfumers behind this perfume, they describe it as an original structure and this ”is the first time in a feminine fragrance that coffee has been used in high doses”.

Another perfume that is on my list of favorites is also a gift from a dear friend from Paris. This perfume is called Oui A L’amour by Yves Rocher. This perfume was launched in 2017 and has an Oriental Floral fragrance the nose behind this perfume is Sophie Labbe, a well-known perfumer who also collaborated with Bvlgari, Estée Lauder Pure White Linen, Calvin Klein Beauty, and many others.
From my point of view, I think that autumn is more suitable and my favorite note is the one given by the Damask rose, which is not necessarily the main note.

And because we are still on the territory of France in this journey of fragrances, the next perfume that I really like is Belle Chérie by Fragonard. This fragrance was launched in 2012 and is a floral fruity fragrance. It seems that my nose is “perfected” on a more middle note because it entices me with Jasmine and Lily-of-the-Valley. This fragrance is like a big bouquet of flowers and is very inviting. It creates a state of well-being and peace.

And last but not least is Jasmin Noir by Bvlgari. A classic perfume but a soberer from my point of view. I must admit that I have had this perfume for some time, but it was launched in 2008. Sophie Labbe appears again, but in collaboration with Carlos Benaim. I consider that this is also an evening perfume, with light notes of Gardenia and of course the star being jasmine. From my documentation on this perfume, I discovered that the recommended age for this perfume would be somewhere between 25 and 40 years. This perfume is luxurious and fragrance.

There wouldn’t be so many perfumes, but these are my favorites and I find myself in them. If you have recommendations or questions related to this article, I am waiting for you in the comments section.
