So, my mini-vacation in Norway was a dream come true. And because I like to share my experiences with you, today I will point out some places where I have been and which I highly recommend.
Brumunddal
I went to visit a cousin I have in the town of Brumunddal, where I stayed for a few nights. A few words about Brumunddal? Situated on the shores of Lake Mjøsa, Norway’s largest lake, the town enjoys a serene ambiance, surrounded by lush forests and rolling hills. The captivating landscape offers an array of outdoor activities, making it a paradise for nature enthusiasts. Whether it’s hiking through scenic trails, fishing in the pristine waters, or simply taking in the peaceful vistas, Brumunddal provides a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Prøysenhuset
Brumunddal also boasts a vibrant arts and music scene. The town hosts various cultural events, exhibitions, and concerts throughout the year, showcasing the talents of local artists and musicians. This cultural richness adds a distinctive flavor to the town’s ambiance, making it an inviting destination for those seeking artistic inspiration. Beyond its natural and cultural allure, Brumunddal’s warm and friendly locals contribute significantly to the town’s enchanting atmosphere. They welcome visitors with open arms, sharing their stories and traditions, making everyone feel at home.
A few places that I recomend: Prøysenhuset, museum of Alf Prøysen, author, poet and musician, Mjøsparken a very big tourist attraction in Brumunddal, a walk on the side of the lake in Hamar where you can have a lovely picnic.
Eidsvoll Verk
The town’s name derives from the Verk, meaning “ironworks,” reflecting its early association with the iron industry. Eidsvoll Verk played a vital role in the industrial development of Norway during the 17th and 18th centuries, with iron mining and smelting operations flourishing in the area. These industries contributed to the growth and prosperity of the town, attracting a diverse community of workers and artisans.
One of the most notable landmarks in Eidsvoll Verk is the Eidsvollsbygningen, a stately manor house with a fascinating history. This elegant 18th-century building served as the meeting place for the Constitutional Assembly in 1814. During this historic gathering, Norway’s constitution was drafted, marking a pivotal moment in the country’s path towards independence and democracy. Today, Eidsvollsbygningen stands as a symbol of Norwegian national pride and is open to the public, offering visitors a chance to step back in time and immerse themselves in the rich heritage of the region.

In Eidsvoll Verk I got to know nature from a different angle, I relived my childhood memories with my bare feet in the freshly cut grass, I filled my memory and my soul with all the peace there, and I even paid a short visit to a John Deere forwarder. It’s strange how many things I can like, all in one place. The town’s vibrant community is known for its warm hospitality and cultural events, welcoming visitors to experience traditional Norwegian customs and festivities. Local markets, art exhibitions, and folk festivals add to the town’s charm, offering glimpses into the region’s customs and creative expressions.
A few places that I recomend: Eidsvoll 1814 museum, New Kebabish Råholt the best kebab in town.
Oslo

Embracing innovation and sustainability, Oslo has earned its reputation as a global leader in environmental consciousness. Clean energy initiatives, efficient public transportation, and a strong commitment to green spaces have earned the city recognition as one of the world’s most eco-friendly urban areas.
Oslo, Norway’s gem of a capital, strikes a perfect balance between tradition and progress, nature and urbanity, making it a destination that leaves a lasting impression on the hearts of all who visit.
